Childhood memories at Byways. X

As Adam said in his lovely Eulogy their childhood had been idyllic and this continued for us grandchildren. I have very happy memories of living with Granny & Grandad at Byways. From skipping down the path after school to be greeted with a homemade jelly & buttered digestive biscuits and a glass of milk, running round the garden and up & down the lane in the lovely countryside.  Andrew, Louise, Claire & I would spend weekends there, playing in the Bamboo woods, the shed, the old car, climbing trees, building dens and playing French cricket!  There would always be delicious homemade biscuits and scrumptious Sunday lunches, all set round the big table & benches next to the Grand Piano! Granny was always busy cooking for us in her tiny little kitchen! It was a truly idyllic time, always a warm, loving, happy atmosphere.  God bless u Granny. X
