Memories Of Bobbie from Sheila & Derek

Created by Nessa 4 years ago
We met Bobbie and Freddie at Nessa and Adam's wedding. A few days later we met at Adam and Nessa's flat in Lee on the Solent. Nessa and Adam were on their honeymoon.
Bobbie disappeared into the kitchen to make coffee and returned with coffee, lemon drizzle cake and a bottle of whisky. She poured the coffee and proceeded to add a generous measure of whisky to each cup, explaining it was purely medicinal! This was the beginning of a friendship which lasted many years.
After Freddie died, Bobbie moved to Lee and from then on we met at family gatherings, first in our house and more recently in Nessa and Adam's house or in their garden. These gatherings were always fun and full of laughter. As time passed and more babies appeared, they became rather noisy affairs. Bobbie was interested in everyone and never forgot anyone at Christmas.
On many occasions when we went for a drive, she would always ask to go to the lake to see the swans.  We would then go to a cafe at Stokes Bay and have a cup of tea or an ice cream. She loved going out in the car, reminiscing and talking about the past. She always felt blessed.
You will be missed Bobbie, but remembered with love .
Whenever I look at daffodils, you will be in my thoughts.  God Bless .
